This was a preliminary study to verify that trout of this size could pass through the test turbine at this elevated speed (27.6 m/s or 61.7 mph). The average fish length was 12.9 cm, so the L/t ratio (the ratio of the length of the fish to the thickness of the leading edge of the turbine) was 1.3. We did not capture high-speed video for this test.
